
Romania's cosmopolitan capital, Bucharest, may at first appear ravaged by Communism, but a look just behind this arresting architecture reveals tranquil courtyards, exquisite Orthodox churches and leafy parks. In the bucolic mountain landscape to the north, you will discover the birthplace and haunts of Romania's most famous character, Count Dracula!

Day One - Fly to Bucharest. Meet coach and drive to Brasov in Transylvania.
Day Two - Full day in Brasov, a stunning medieval town at the foot of the Carpathian mountains. Discover Europe's narrowest street, Rope Street, and take the funicular up the mountain to see the town from above. Afternoon concert on the main town square.
Day Three - Morning visit to Bran Castle, also known as Dracula's Castle. Lunchtime concert in Bran. Transfer to Bucharest by coach for early evening arrival.
Day Four - Morning visit to the world's second largest building after the Pentagon, the People's Palace. Afternoon visit to the outdoor Village Museum, with concert performance. Evening visit to the city's historic Lipscana district, saved from Ceausescu's Communist dream.
Day Five - Transfer to the airport for flight home.
