We have been offering Carinthia in our concert tour programme for several years now and it has proved a tremendous success during that time. The region is alive with musical activity and there are a great number of local choirs and bands with whom you may wish to perform a joint concert with. We can also feature your group on the local radio or television station who will support and promote your performances in this region.

Carinthia

Carinthia is a spectacular region in the sunny south of Austria. To the north west of the region lies Austria’s highest mountain, Grossglockner while the rest of the country is studded with sparkling lakes amidst stunning mountain scenery.

Excursions in Carinthia

Landskron Castle and Monkey Mountain: visit the castle, watch a birds of prey display and visit the monkey sanctuary next door.

Boat trip on one of the many lakes.

Goldeck Panoramastraße: an exciting drive up to 1900 meters from sea level with stunning scenery and views.

Tropfsteinhöhle Griffen: visit the stalactite cave from the Palaeolithic Age.

Concerts

Carinthia claims to have the biggest concentration of choirs in all of Austria; every school and major company has one! This means there are plenty of concert venues, which include amphitheatres and halls, as well as opportunities to perform in local festivals. Churches are located in stunning mountain villages as well as in the main towns and for bands wishing to perform outdoors, there are lakeside pavilions and bandstands that attract tourists as well as the local community.

We can arrange a variety of accommodation types to suit your budget, from high quality youth hostels to good hotels. In Carinthia, we would recommend the lovely Egger Youth Hostel in Villach, which has all rooms with private bathroom, as well as an outdoor pool and volleyball court.
