Once a popular destination for British holiday-makers, discerning travellers are once again discovering the delights of this outstandingly beautiful country. Croatia is, nevertheless, still fairly undiscovered territory for touring music group and therefore a perfect choice for our more adventurous groups who have ‘done it all’. We offer two contrasting regions of northern Croatia; the coast of Istria, encompassing mediaeval Rovinj, roman Pula and lively Rabac; and the Kvarner Riviera, where the seaside resorts of Opatija and Lovran reflect the Austro-Hungarian influences in their elegant villas and gardens.
Concerts
Istria and Kvarner are home to some stunning venues, suitable for most group types. Enjoy the acoustics of impressive basilicas and more intimate village churches, and take part in one of the two regions’ summer festivities. For those that wish to perform outdoors, Pazin castle and Opatija’s open air theatres offer wonderful opportunities, as well as the many town squares which attract hoards of tourists and locals as part of their cultural programmes.
Suggested itinerary (band)Day 1 - Afternoon ferry for overnight coach travel. Day 2 - Afternoon arrival in resort. Remainder of day at leisure. Day 3 - Morning on the beach Afternoon excursion to Rovinj. Evening concert in the church of St Francis. Day 4 - Full day excursion to Slovenia. Visit the Postojna caves, with afternoon concert. Return to centre. Day 5 - Morning visit to Pula to see the amphitheatre. Continue to Porec for evening concert in the Church of Our Lady. Day 6 - Morning free on the beach. Afternoon departure for overnight journey. Day 7 - Morning ferry and afternoon arrival home. |

Accommodation
We offer good quality 2 and 3 star hotels in both regions, where students are accommodated in 3 and 4 bedded rooms and staff in twin rooms, all having private facilities. Breakfasts and evening meals are usually buffet style, with a large choice, suiting all tastes.
