We are delighted to announce our new relationship with Movie Park in the Ruhr region of northern Germany. This is a fantastic theme park that gives our young musicians the chance to perform against an exciting backdrop. The Ruhr region, at first glance, does not appear to hold the attractions of some other areas of Germany, but in fact there is a vast array of things to do and see, from going down a former coal mine to visiting the palatial villa of the Krupps family. You can also take a tour round Europe’s largest shopping mall and entertainment centre!

Movie Park

Movie Park itself has five themed areas, all revolving around a movie theme. As well as a host of exciting shows, there are rides of all types as well as two working film studios. Once you have had enough of the rush of adrenalin on the Park’s seven high-thrill rides, enjoy a visit around the German film museum, or take part in Movie Magic and become an astronaut, courtesy of some breathtaking special effects. The Park really does have everything for everyone.

Movie Park is open from Easter to the end of October.

Accommodation

We base our groups in the excellent Koln Youth Hostel, which lies just over the river from the city centre. All rooms have private bathroom, while facilities include rehearsal room and piano on request, barbecue, table tennis and a bar area.

Concerts

Our groups perform on the New York Plaza, a large covered stage right in the centre of the park surrounded by restaurants. Our groups can give a concert in any weather and concerts are timed so that there is a maximum audience potential. Chairs, electricity and a loudspeaker system are available for our groups.
