Hungary - Budapest

Youth Orchestra • Sacred Choir • Secular Choir • Band

  • Split into two fascinating halves
  • City of spas
  • Meeting point of many cultures

You will find a great welcome for your performers in Hungary, a land famous for gypsy folk music and great composers such as Bartok, Kodaly and Liszt. Positioned at the crossroads of East and West, Hungary enjoyed a golden age as part of the Habsburg Empire and its rich and varied history makes Hungary a fascinating place to visit today. We base our groups in Budapest, an intriguing city known as the Pearl of the Danube. Formed of the two towns Buda and Pest in 1873, Budapest contains so many places of genuine interest, including the Royal Palace, the Parliament buildings and the Fisherman’s Bastion.

Concerts

In Budapest, our groups can perform in schools, community centres and music schools, as well as in some of the wellknown venues in the city including the magnificent St Matthias Church, and St Gellerts Church. The towns and villages along the Danube bend such as Esztergom where there is a magnificent bastilica, Egar and Szentendre provide our groups with superb venues and real hospitality.
