A pre-Christmas tour to the glorious city of Reims which combines the delights of the city’s Christmas market with a short programme of French lessons, which are held at the accommodation centre’s own language school.
Reims, France’s champagne city, is one of many towns and cities in France that hold magical Christmas markets in the run up to Christmas. From the third week of November right up until Christmas day, more than 100 pretty wooden stalls line the streets of Reims, forming a festive Christmas village, where you can find seasonal gifts and decorations, delicious traditional and local food and drink as well as street entertainers, magicians, and concerts given by bands and choirs. Father Christmas, meanwhile, welcomes children into his beautifully adorned chalet.
We suggest an intensive programme of lessons during your short stay, which will maximise the impact on your students’ language learning. This session will then be followed up at the Christmas market, for which your students will be provided with worksheets.
Suggested ItineraryDay One - Morning ferry and afternoon arrival in Reims. Short evening presentation of the following day’s language lessons. Evening visit to the Christmas market. Day Two - Morning language lessons Afternoon visit to the Christmas market. Day Three - Morning departure to Calais and afternoon arrival at school. |
