With 30 years experience we know what school groups are looking for in resort and we are proud to have some exclusive contracts with many of the accommodation centres with whom we work.
We have given all our accommodation centres a “Club Europe star rating” based on its facilities and standard of rooms. It does not reflect the local hotel rating and is intended only as a guide when selecting your centre.
in those houses marked with this symbol we are pleased to offer Party Leaders the opportunity to have internet access from their rooms and public areas of the houses free of charge.
We have longstanding contracts with many of our centres. All are used to catering for school groups and offer a high standard of accommodation and dining. The majority of our hotel and youth centres offer en suite facilities and in-house games rooms.
We pay our suppliers extra for you to retain your rooms up to the time of departure, with the exception of a few French resorts. Rooms are generally vacated prior to the last evening meal, thus allowing you to finish a full day’s skiing before returning to your rooms to freshen up prior to departure.
We provide you with your very own bi-lingual ski rep for the week. Their job is to make your stay as enjoyable, safe and memorable as possible. Our ski reps are carefully selected and given full training prior to departure. They are on call 24 hours a day, should an emergency arise, and are in close contact with Senior Resort Managers. They will coordinate all entertainments and skiing arrangements. They are not, however, a member of your staff and have no authority over your students.
We pride ourselves on using the best local ski schools in every resort. We have long-standing contracts with them and ensure that all our instructors speak English and are used to working with children. Class size is, on average, 12 people for skiers and 8-10 for snowboarders, depending on ability. Teachers on free places are not included in this ratio as they tend to ski from class to class. We recommend 6 x 4 hours instruction, as this gives a greater level of progression and, above all, safety.
Woodhouse Grove School"A fantastic trip - great snow, great fun and a rep who made the whole experience very easy for me." |
If you wish to take an extra hour to make 5 hours tuition then we are happy to offer this extra package. This could enable groups to get more out of their week. Please see the prices panel for more details.
In general our ski hire shops are located in resort or in the house itself. We use skis, boots and snowboards from the most reputable manufacturers and demand the highest standards. We organise all the equipment prior to your arrival so that individual fitting is speedy and efficient.
In resorts where helmets are compulsory by law, we will provide and cover the cost of them. If you wish to hire helmets in other resorts we will endeavor to assist, at a supplement however in peak dates availability can be limited.
Keeping the students occupied off the slopes is a vital part of every ski trip and we are here to help! Before you depart we will start planning your evenings with the aim of finding a good balance between in-house activities mixed in with a selection of low cost activities in the local area such as swimming, bowling, ice skating or Ice hockey. See the resort pages for details on what is on offer in your accommodation centre.
If all the lifts are shut due to adverse weather conditions or lack of snow, we will pay up to £30 per day for additional costs of travel and lift pass in an alternative resort. If there are no alternative resorts within 2 hours radius, we will refund £30 per student per day.
In all our resorts snow cannons operate to assist in keeping snow levels on lower slopes satisfactory.
This new technology allows skiers to access the lifts without the card needing to be removed from your pocket – perfect for students! Each card is re-useable and carries a deposit of between € 3-5. We have costed this deposit into your tour and your ski rep will refund this money to you at the end of your week, based on the number of cards returned.
