Club Europe groups have been enjoying the excellent skiing, and superb hospitality of our Austrian Gasthofs for 20 years. The Club Europe lift pass covers the whole region. Both the stunning views and the sheer volume of skiing will leave you breathless!

The skiing

It’s a great destination for a coach tour. On consultation with your ski instructors you can arrange for your coach to take you to a different entry point every day. You can be based in one of 4 villages, with some centres offering you the opportunity to ski right from your door. The regional capital, Salzburg, one of Europe’s most beautiful cities, is within an hour’s drive for an evening excursion with a difference! All in all, this offers a great mixture of sport, action, après-ski, and hospitality.

Après ski

Each village offers a unique night time atmosphere and is well served with bars, cafés and restaurants. There are also several discos in the area. Altenmarkt and Schladming offer swimming, whilst bowling can be found in Schladming and St. Johann.

RADSTADT & ALTENMARKT

These three picturesque villages play home to 7 of our houses of which we are proud to introduce 2 to the programme for 2008 – Enstallerhof & Ennshof. Groups from these house will ski in the Radstadt / Altemarkt / regions or Flachau. All groups must try at least one day at the stunning high altitude Zauchensee area which is only 20 minutes by coach.

Jugendgästehaus Tauernruh

Capacity 200 CE Rating**

This 300-year old house is in the centre of Radstadt, about 3 km from the lifts. This centre is ideal for a number of groups as the dining room divides naturally into sections, giving each group a degree of autonomy. The house also has a big screen TV, a gym hall, disco and various meeting/games rooms. All student rooms (4/6-bedded and some 8-bedded) have private showers with ample toilets on each floor. Leaders’ rooms are twins with private facilities and cable TV. There is also a sauna, a solarium, a mini-gym and whirlpool for leaders, as well as a bar.

Jugendgästeparadies Bachlehen

Capacity 120 CE Rating****

As the Bachlehen is situated adjacent to the nursery area and main chairlift entering the Radstadt-Altenmarkt ski complex you can ski virtually from the door. With a swimming pool, sauna, gym, games room, sports hall, disco, seminar rooms and doorstep skiing, this popular centre scores highly. Spacious rooms are 4-6 bedded and all have private facilities. The house was fully renovated in 2004.

Jugendferienhof Besenhaus

Capacity 58 CE Rating**

This house is on the outskirts of Altenmarkt, about 500m from the village centre, and about 10 minutes drive from both Flachau and Radstadt. The Schwaiger family do their utmost to ensure that groups have a first rate holiday. Recently renovated, this house has a games/disco room with TV and video, and a tuck shop. It is perfect for sole occupancy. Student rooms are 4/6/8-bedded. Leaders have twins and most rooms come with private showers and toilet. The novice skiing area is about 5 minutes drive away.

Jugendherberge Sportheim

Located on the outskirts of Altenmarkt next to a firm Club Europe favourite, the Besenhaus, this recently refurbished gem of a house has become much sought-after by Club Europe groups. The owner, Manuela, offers an especially warm welcome and a high standard of food that English groups have come to expect from Austrian hosts. All student rooms are spacious and are 4/6 bedded with bunks and private facilities. Leaders’ rooms are twin-bedded with private facilities. The house boasts a large sports hall, disco room, leaders room and a games/TV room. The slopes are about a 5 minute coach journey away on the other side of the village.

Jugendhotel Ennstalerhof

This fantastic new addition to our ’08 programme nestles on the edge of Altenmarkt and offers stunning facilities you could expect at 4* hotel! The Scharfetter family extends a warm welcome and excellent home-cooked food to our groups. Spacious student rooms are 4/6 bedded all with private facilities whilst leaders have twin rooms with a TV. The hotel has an indoor swimming pool, sauna, Solarium, games room and state-of-the art disco in the basement which also couples as a cinema….book early to avoid disappointment!

FLACHAU

Jugengastehaus Ennshof

This family-run gem lies right in the centre of the pretty village of Flachau; ideal for groups wanting to have the slopes and nightlife close by. The ski lifts are 300m from the door across the village. It offers a good standard of 4/7 bedded rooms, all with ensuite facilities. Leaders’ rooms are twin-bedded with private facilities. It has a cosy leaders stuberl with open fire and bar, a separate dining room for each group, games room and well appointed disco. It is certain to become a Club Europe favourite!

Jugendgästehaus Hanneshof

Capacity 176 CE Rating***

The Hanneshof is located on the edge of the Reitdorf district of Flachau. It is about 1,500m from Flachau centre and just 200m from the lifts and ski school meeting place. The house offers 3 self-contained units, with 3 dining rooms. It was completely renovated in 2004. Student rooms are 6- bedded with shower. All leaders’ rooms are 2-bedded with full facilities. There is a leaders’ room, bar, shop, TV/games room, large sports hall and indoor tennis courts.

WAGRAIN

Jugendhotel Wurzenrainer

Main House 90 Annex 60 CE Rating ****

The Wurzenrainer has rapidly become one of Club Europe’s most popular and sought-after centres. All rooms (4/5-bedded with two taking seven) have private showers and toilets. Leaders have twins. The facilities include three large dining rooms, bar, tuck shop, TV/video, games/disco room with table tennis and a large reception area with internet facilities, 5 new meeting rooms, sauna and steam room, and a 120sqm multifunctional room with video and large screen and disco facilities. The hotel is a 4 minute drive from the lifts and the centre of Wagrain is about 2 km away.

Jugendhotel Markushof

Capacity 200 CE Rating****

Thanks to substantial investment by the Riepler family, this house has become an excellent centre. The standards of catering and accommodation are high. All rooms (4/6-bedded with two 8-bedded) have private showers and toilets. Leaders’ rooms are twins. It is only about 1 km from the centre of Wagrain. The house has a sauna and solarium for leaders (small charge). It has extensive in-house facilities, which include a newly built sports hall (30 m x 20 m) suitable for a host of ball games, ice-skating and curling rink. The nursery slope and the beginners’ lift is right in front of the house, offering doorstep skiing. The ‘Flying Mozart’ high-speed gondola is only a short walk away.

Jugendhotel Wiederkehr

This excellent family run house offers a tremendous standard of accommodation for our ski groups and sits in an enviable position in Wagrain. The Wiederkehr is situated just a 2 minute walk from the Flying Mozart lift, while the centre of Wagrain is 500m away. All rooms (4-6 bedded) have private bathroom, while the house’s other facilities include entertainment room, indoor table tennis as well as a heated ski room. You are also able to use Wagrain’s new sports hall for football, basketball and volleyball, free of charge. The Wiederkehr lies just 100m from the Wasserwelt swimming centre.

Jugendhotel Oberwimm

Another family-run gem designed specifically for young people and so an excellent addition to our programme for 2007! All bedrooms, which are 4-8 bedded, have private facilities. There is a large games room in the house as well as a sauna and our groups also have access to a separate building in which you will find a disco and mini cinema for evening entertainment. Situated just by the Flying Mozart lift, the hotel allows our groups excellent access to the slopes.

Jugendgästehaus Striedlhof

Capacity 50 CE Rating***

The Striedlhof is owned by the same family as the Oberwimm and lies in a quiet location 1.5km up from the town of Wagrain and offers a good standard of accommodation. All rooms, which are 5-8 bedded, have private bathroom, while other facilities include sauna, TV room and table tennis room. The house offers a free ski bus to and from the town daily at regular intervals. Guests are also free to use the Oberwimm’s disco and mini cinema, located in the centre of Wagrain.
