As long time members of the School Travel Forum, we hold the LOTC (Learning Outside The Classroom) quality badge. This means not just that we've been endorsed by the STF, but also that as a recognised bona fide school travel operator, you have considerably fewer forms to fill in! All of which makes it easier and safer for you to tour with us.

The government is publishing new guidelines for parents and teachers in England which will make it easier for teachers to organise school trips.

The Department for Education has told schools and local authorities to ditch "unnecessary paperwork", and has cut its 150 pages of guidelines to eight.

Education Secretary Michael Gove said it would mean a "more common sense approach to health and safety".

He said: "Children should be able to go on exciting school trips that broaden their horizons. That is why we are cutting unnecessary red tape in schools and putting teachers back in charge. This new, slimmer advice means a more common sense approach to health and safety."

At the musical heart of Europe, Salzburgerland in Austria has it all: Breathtaking locations, inspiring excursions and marvellous performing opportunities.

Musical venues range from covered music pavilions in small towns such as St Wolfgang and St Gilgen to the picturesque churches in the small Alpine villages, such as Flachau. Choirs with a sacred repertoire can also give an impromptu recital in Salzburg cathedral.

Excursions include the incredible ice caves and 11th century Hohenwerfen Castle in Werfen and the Hohensalzburg Fortress and Mozart's birthplace in Salzburg. Our students stay in a number of high quality youth centres in the region.

It was great to meet many of you at the Champions Schools event and at the Music for Youth conference. We ran a lucky dip competition at both events and tour leaders from schools in Cheshire and Hertfordshire both won Eurostar tickets.

One very satisfied customer from a school in Scarborough just back from a

"A truly amazing trip for myself as group leader and all the pupils involved. Excellent coach drivers, excellent reps, excellent concert venues, appreciative audiences, big audiences, fantastic weather too! Thank you!"
